Hi, I’m Maeve—a specialist in food freedom and disordered eating, and a toddler mum who understands how overwhelming life as a parent can be. I’m passionate about helping parents like you find peace with food, feel good about your body, and set a positive example for your family through realistic, evidence-based strategies in a safe, judgment-free space.
I began my career in the NHS before moving to private practice and sharing evidence-based nutrition messages online. Over the years, I’ve seen how many people quietly struggle with their relationship with food, caught between harmful weight-loss diets and a lack of support for those who don’t fit the criteria for clinical eating disorder treatment. Discovering the Intuitive Eating and other food freedom tools transformed my perspective, enabling me to help others (and myself) heal from years of harmful habits.
Becoming a parent brought a new understanding of how profoundly this impacts your eating and relationship with food. I’ve also seen how powerful the motivation to make peace with food can be when it’s about setting the best example for your kids.
The EMPOWERED program is the result of years of specialised training and helping countless people, including busy parents, to break free from diets, nourish their bodies, and rebuild a balanced relationship with food. I created it to make my proven approach accessible in a supportive, affordable group setting that fits into your busy life and helps you finally make peace with food.

*Please note: this course is not designed as a sole treatment option for those with an active eating disorder, and it does not provide guidance on how to lose weight.
2. When do the calls take place?
The group calls usually alternate each week between Wednesday evenings at 7pm (BST) and Wednesday lunchtime at 1pm (GMT). For this round, the first call will take place on the 12th of February and the last call will be on the 30th of April 2025 (you will have access to the programme homepage between the 9th of Feb and the 4th of May). There may be some flexibility with this depending on what suits group members best. Your 45-minute one-to-one calls will be arrange at times that suit you.
3. Are the calls recorded?
Most of the calls will be recorded, including the parts where I highlight key information and do some interactive and reflective activities, I will also answer any questions that have been submitted in advance so you can get an answer if you can’t make it live. But the end the calls won’t be recorded to provide a safe space where group members feel comfortable to open up and ask more questions. I can also pause the recording at any time if we hit a sensitive topic or at the request of a group member. During your 1:1 personalisation call with me you’ll find out which sessions will be most important for you to attend to get the most out of it, in case you can’t make all the sessions.
4. How much does this programme cost?
Current prices are above on this page. Early bird rates are available on a first-come, first-served basis during the first week that the cart opens for programme sign-ups. This programme provides significant cost savings compared to accessing the same information and resources through one-on-one clinic sessions with Maeve, which would cost a minimum of £2,960 (based on at least 20 one-to-one sessions).
5. How much time is involved?
At the start of the programme you get a 45-minute 1:1 call with Maeve, and there are weekly 45-minute group calls for 12 weeks. If you sign-up to the Transform package you also get 2 additional 45-minute calls with Maeve and weekly coaching check-ins on Whatsapp. There will also be some tasks to complete each week which should take roughly an hour (watching videos, doing guided meditations, journaling etc.). So overall, it should take up 2 or 3 hours per week, but you can make it work for you and spend more or less time depending on what works. This is an intensive course that has been designed with busy people in mind, I’ve distilled what I would usually cover in around 6 months of 1:1 sessions into 12 weeks, so you can get the most out of it in a shorter amount of time. But you can spend as much extra time as you need to go over the material and exercises.
6. How involved do I have to be in the group?
This is entirely up to you, but the more actively involved you are, the more you will get out of it. During your 1:1 personalisation call with me you’ll find out which sessions will be most important for you to attend to get the most out if it, in case you can’t make all sessions. Most of the sessions will be recorded, as explained above, and you can submit questions anonymously in advance or during the group calls. You can also choose whether you turn your camera or mic on or not.
7. How big will the group be?
For this round there will be 10 spots available on the programme, to keep the group small enough so that you feel comfortable sharing with each other and so that I have enough time to dedicate to each person.
9. What if I want to lose weight?
It’s completely understandable to want to lose weight in the society we live in, and you get to decide what’s best for your body. You are welcome to join the program if you have this goal, but please note that the focus won’t be on weight loss.
Instead, the program encourages shifting attention away from weight and prioritising overall health and happiness, including: mental wellbeing, body image, nutritious eating, and developing a peaceful relationship with food. If focusing on weight loss in the past hasn’t worked out well for you, then this would be a great opportunity to see how shifting this focus for 12 weeks works out for you. Weight loss diets will always be there afterward if you choose to go back to them (but it’s very rare that people want to go back to diets after experiencing food freedom in my experience).
*Please note: Although this programme provides lots of useful tools and information for healing your relationship with food, this is not intended as a sole treatment option for those with a clinical eating disorder. If in doubt, always seek individual advice. This course does not promote or provide information about how to lose weight. Please read the full terms of purchasing here.
